Magnesia Creek: Rock Scaling and Blasting Warning
Tuesday July 6th, 2010
Work will begin to commence on the necessary improvements for the re-stabilization and removal of necessary rock at the Magnesia Intake. There will be some blasting occurring approximately by this Wednesday July 7th, 2010. There will be heavy machinery going through town to facilitate the work being done. There will be guards posted on the road up to the intake for safety reasons. If you are asked to turn around on the trail please comply with these instructions as your safety is first and foremost on our minds. All necessary precautions have been made and the appropriate authorities have been notified. Golder and Associates will be on site to ensure all integrity for the watershed is maintained as well as to be the liaison with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
We are not expecting any issues regarding the work, however if something were to happen we will have an employee at the site to shut off the water and you will be notified as soon as possible. We appreciate your co-operation during this 2 week (minimum) project period.
Thank you for your attention
