Tragically, one of our community’s homes burnt down on the morning of Sunday August 17th. Thanks to all those who called 911 to report the incident. In the next few days we will know what the family needs and how we can assist them. In the meantime, they want you to know they are very appreciative of the amount of support they have received. We will let you know how the community can help when the family has had time to prioritize their needs. They have insurance and, so far, are coping as well as can be expected. The family will let us know when or how we can be of assistance.
To avoid inundating the family with offers of help, please contact Lisa Turpin, the acting Emergency Social Services Director, who will forward all information to the family. You may contact Lisa at 604 921-9365

Requests so far:
- Their cat is missing it is a small black short haired female cat with yellow, green eyes answers to Puma. A window was open in the home so they are hopeful someone will be able to find Puma.
- Any photographs of Village events that included their son, Josarian and/or the family would be greatly appreciated.
- Permanent housing in Lions Bay or even West Vancouver is also something they are looking for.
