Bathing me in quick-silver notes
Of tip-toe highs
And
Broken hearted lows

Rain

Tap dancing like Fred Astaire
In rat-a-tat rhythm.

Flattened islands of rain-drops
Meld
Into seas of gloaming wash.

Dance Fred
But no more rain dance
Extravaganzas
Please.

Kick high your heels like
An Arizona pony

Dance me a rainbow.
Choreograph me
 A sun
Spun from pots of gold

Lick my rain world

Dry.
