Next Steps in the Development of Our New Community Centre

This public workshop provides an opportunity for all Lions Bay residents to provide input on a possible new community centre that can now be considered as a result of the recommendations made by Professional Environmental Recreation Consultants Ltd. (PERC) following their public consultations completed this past summer.

We urge all interested residents to join us at 9:30 on November 13th for a planning session that will be hosted by Mark Hentze and Richard Bolus of CEI Architecture. CEI is a firm specializing in the planning and design of community centres and will be coordinating an Idea Workshop where Lions Bay residents can share their thoughts with regard to the proposed uses such as a new community hall, multi-purpose spaces, an expanded library and more.

This public workshop is part of a series of consultative sessions intended to provide clarity in the evaluation of a new community facility and recommendations to council. Based on community feedback and progress on evaluating options, additional meetings will be scheduled as required in the near future.
