Community Services Village Bulletins Boulevard Beautification Project
Sent on behalf of the Public Works Department:

Boulevard Beautification Project Starting

Spring is officially here and the Public Works Crew will be starting the Boulevard Beautification Projects next week.  The schedule so far is that Isleview Place will be done next week (the week of March 22) and Lions Bay Avenue after that (the week of March 29).  The schedule may be adjusted depending on the work load and time allocations.  Other streets will be done and e-post notices sent out accordingly.  As part of this Project, the Public Works Crew will be:

- clearing ditches where needed,
- trimming overhanging branches and shrubs which are slowly growing into the roadways thereby reducing the travelling width of our roads.  This is particularly an issue on the narrower roads in the Village.  Property owners are encouraged to trim these encroaching trees and shrubs back to the edge of the pavement.  If not trimmed back far enough the Works Crew will be doing that task, and
- ensuring that signage is appropriate for the area,

Please welcome the Public Works Crew to your area.

Residents are reminded that the weekly pickup of yard trimmings by Smithrite Disposal will begin Friday, April 9 and there will be a pickup of larger branches by the Village's Public Works Crew on April 19 and 20.  Please leave your branches for this pickup at the nearest orange cone.
