On March 30th, 2012, the Village of Lions Bay was awarded a Province of British Columbia Community Recreation grant of $440,343, towards the renewal of the Community Centre.

The renewal project has now commenced, and construction design is currently being finalized.  It is anticipated that construction management will be awarded to a contractor through a tendering process.  It is also anticipated that separate tenders will be requested for most of the construction elements.

Tenders will be drawn up and posted on CivicInfoBc (http://www.civicinfo.bc.ca/), in line with standard municipal contract practices.  However, the Village of Lions Bay wishes to give residents advance notice that they will potentially be seeking contractors for the following services:-

Demolition and Disposal

Excavation and Foundations

Framing

Roof Truss Supply/Install

Roofing

Doors And Windows

Electrical

Plumbing

Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning

Drywall

Millwork

Painting

Flooring

Finish Carpentry

Commercial Office Movers

Mayor and Council encourage residents to provide bids in response to any requests for tender, at the time the tendering for this project occurs.
