Do you take an interest in the natural beauty of Lions Bay? Are you concerned about the impacts of Climate Change, increased population or industrialization of Howe Sound on where we live? The Lions Bay Green Community originated from the Lions Bay Climate Action Task Force established in 2009.A group of interested residents came together through these common interests. The Task Force was tasked with determining Greenhouse Gas Reduction Targets for Lions Bay which are now imbedded in our Official Community Plan. Strategies pertainain to transportation, energy use, waste management, gardens, air quality and wildlife are continually being worked on by interested residents. The Facebook page administered by Ruth Simons, chair of the Task Force provides update and a place to share current news on these activities and projects.
